Some magic went out of control and was messing with time, so all of our worlds were caught in time loops. Those of us who actually noticed it happen were the ones who got pulled there.

Well, that sounds irritating. I wonder if that's still happening? Somewhere.

It might be. I didn't go home, so either it's still looping or it's just waiting for me to keep going.

That sucks. Sorry to hear about it? For me, I just came straight from home.

Haha, thanks. I'm not too put out about it, I'll go home when it's time, you know? What's your home like? It's somewhere modern if you know what a chain letter is, right?

I guess so? Cities and the internet are a thing. I mean, the internet wasn't a thing when I was a kid, but now it is and has been for a long time.

[ Time "travel" is involved, don't ask, ]

I'd say going from what people are saying, the "weirdest" thing is that we have a lot of Gods.

If it was a thing when I was a kid, we sure didn't get it where I grew up. Wouldn't be surprised if they still don't have it.

A lot of gods doesn't seem too weird to me? We have a few that get called gods, but they're summons, so I don't know if that really changes it or not.

You can summon your gods?

Some of them! There's one I know is seen as a god in Wutai, another country. And I think Odin might be considered one?

They don't really give you a rundown of who they are when you get their materia, just how to use it and what they do.

Oh, Odin. I know that one. He's a Norse god where I'm from.

Huh. What about Leviathan?

It's a huge sea monster back home.

That's basically what it is where I'm from too. That's pretty interesting! I don't meet a lot of people who recognize names from home. I think the most common one is chocobos? But those aren't gods or monsters.

Never heard of chocobos. Maybe it's just that gods are more...universal, somehow?

It would make sense. If anything appeared in a bunch of different worlds, gods would be the least surprising.

Makes you wonder if they're the same gods or just ideas of them.
