Greek and Roman were two different groups of people. How the Gods appeared to each was different, and so Hades and Pluto, while technically the same person...aren't entirely.
I think that makes sense? [ It kind of makes him wonder how it'd work for some of the more important gods back home, the ones widespread enough for there to be multiple interpretations of.
